The education TELCO sector was held: challenges, practice and solutions

In the first week of April, a training session was successfully held on the topic "TELCO sector: challenges, practices and solutions"  led by Prof. Dr. Sc. Dragan Bagić. The education was organized by the Croatian Telecommunications Union and the Republic Workers' Union as part of the ESF+ project: "Challenges of social dialogue in the digital economy: Focus on the private sector and ICT", with the aim of strengthening understanding of the key changes shaping the contemporary labor market.

The education program covered the most important aspects of the telecommunications sector, including current challenges, examples of good practice and possible solutions in the context of accelerated digital transformation. Special emphasis is placed on trends that significantly affect business and labor relations in ICT and the private sector.

The highlighted topics were:

  • development and application of artificial intelligence (AI)
  • ESG standards and regulatory framework
  • the influence of geopolitics and global economic trends

In addition to sectoral topics, the training also touched on the broader context of changes in the world of work. Participants discussed the increasing presence of mobile work, which is blurring the lines between private and professional life, as well as growing challenges such as cognitive overload and techno-stress. Special attention was paid to the impact of artificial intelligence on the workplace, including changes in the skills required and the organization of work.

The conclusion of the training emphasizes that such programs are crucial for timely understanding of changes and strengthening the capacities of social partners to actively participate in their shaping. In times of rapid technological and social change, continuous education and dialogue become the foundation of sustainable development and quality labor relations.

The project is co-financed by EU funds.
